There was a strong possibilty Danny Brown could've went the same direction with the album cover for 'Old' as he did for the bizarre 'ODB' video he dropped last week. The recently released artwork still is, but in an ironic sense.

Instead of any sort of absurd images, Brown is featured as a decorated militant inside a portrait within a melting frame. A lot of people would've liked Danny the Drug Dealing Cat from the hilarious Pitchfork 'Frames' series on the cover, but this portrait should satisfy.

The album cover was painted by Leila D'Amato with the design and layout by Sam Chirnside for Doubleday & Cartwright.

'Old' stands as one of the year's most anticipated rap albums after his outstanding 'XXX' from 2011, and a run of stellar guest verses (see: 'Terrorist Threats' with Ab-Soul). The upcoming effort will include appearances by Freddie Gibbs, ScHoolBoy Q, A$AP Rocky and plenty of other lesser known artists like songstress Charli XCX.

After much delay, 'Old' finally drops Sept. 30.
