Justin Timberlake Reunites with ‘N Sync, Performs Hits at 2013 MTV Video Music Awards
Justin Timberlake took fans through a pop time warp at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night (Aug. 25) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The singer kicked off his performance with a brief rendition of 'Take Back the Night' outside of the Barclays Center and he danced his way to center of the VMAs stage.
Once onstage, JT took fans on back through his pop prominence. Behind a huge Kaws-designed MTV Moonman statue, Timberlake performed 'SexyBack' from his 2006 album, 'FutureSex/LoveSounds.' Then the crooner went into a medley of his from his 2002 album, 'Justified.' JT performed 'My Love,' 'Cry My River' and 'Rock Your Body.'
Then the highly anticipated reunion finally happened. Timberlake was joined onstage with 'N Sync to perform parts of 'Girlfriend' and their 2000 hit 'Bye, Bye, Bye'
Of course, Timberlake couldn't finish without performing his chart-topping hit 'Suit & Tie.' Unfortunately, there was no Jay Z. What's up with that?
That was followed by his pop ballad 'Mirrors,' which the crowd happily sang.
Afterward, Timberlake was bestowed with the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, which he humbly accepted.
In the end, Justin Timberlake showed the VMAs why he is the president of pop.
