Justin Timberlake, Queen Latifah, Al Green to Perform for President Obama
Justin Timberlake is definitely going to put on a suit and tie for his upcoming performance.
The 'Mirrors' crooner has been tapped to appear at the White House for a special concert in celebration of the Memphis soul sound.
JT, a Memphis native, joins a notable list of performers for the concert, which is being hosted by the Obamas. Among the artists scheduled to appear are Queen Latifah, Al Green, Sam Moore, Mavis Staples and the Alabama Shakes.
We're hoping that President Obama will jump onstage and perform 'Let's Stay Together' with Green. Last year, a video of the POTUS' rendition of the soul ballad went viral.
As for Timberlake, he probably won't perform 'Suit & Tie' at the event. But with his band, the Tennessee Kids, backing him up, he may sing 'That Girl' from 'The 20/20 Experience,' which is a hat-tip to the soulful Memphis sound.
The star-studded concert is part of the 'In Performance at the White House' series, which is being taped April 9 at the White House.
PBS will broadcast the special featuring Timberlake on April 16 at 8 p.m. ET.
