Fat Joe Sentenced to Prison for Tax Evasion

Uncle Sam is currently pointing his stern finger at Fat Joe. Since failing to pay his taxes, the rapper was sentenced to four months in jail Monday in a federal court in Newark, N.J.

The Bronx native, who now resides in Miami, has companies in Somerville, N.J., of which he receives money from. He has not paid back taxes he owes as a result of the income from the businesses.

In December 2012, he plead guilty to not paying more than $1,000,000 between 2007 and 2008. From 2007 to 2010, he failed to pay $718,038.
