Fat Joe Begins Four-Month Prison Sentence

Fat Joe has turned himself in to authorities today to begin his four-month prison sentence.

The Bronx rapper is serving time after pleading guilty to tax evasion; he reportedly missed out on $718,038 of taxes between 2007 to 2010. Fat Joe was facing a two-year prison sentence, but ultimately got off with four months, a $15,000 fine and one-year of supervised release. He's in custody at Miami's Federal Detention Center after posting a $250,000 bail in December.

Fat Joe dropped the mixtape 'The Darkside 3' as a parting gift last night, a sequel to 2011's effort.
