Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt and MellowHigh Trade Threatening Bars on ‘Look’
Nottz is two-for-two during these past couple of weeks. He handled the production for the tense, spaghetti-western sounding 'Nosetalgia' -- a Kendrick Lamar-featured Pusha T track off his album, 'My Name Is My Name.' The producer is also behind the moody, mid-tempo instrumental for 'Look,' which features Odd Future's Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Domo Genesis and Hodgy Beats trading bars.
The new track is a single off MellowHigh's upcoming debut album. MellowHigh features Domo Genesis in addition to Hodgy Beats and producer Left Brain, who are known as MellowHype.
The four throw out some aggressive bars over Nottz's production, albeit too aggressive according to Tyler, the Creator, who opens the track with a pained yell and backtracks saying, "I came way to0 hard on that. I'm a be scaring kids and s---. Let me tone that down."
Tyler disses Miley Cryus, Domo Genesis threatens behind a marijuana crowd and Earl closes the track. "I told myself just to walk and let the rumors run," Earl raps. "Blue Golf overalls, jump when them Goombas come."
MellowHigh's debut LP is set to drop on Oct. 31.
