In 2004, Trey Songz debuted as the sugary sweet, braided boy next door, with his hit song 'Gotta Make It' capturing the hearts of girls everywhere. By the time he reemerged in 2009, Trey switched up his entire image. This new Trey was more about sex, unapologetically inserting references to the act in most of his new singles. His lyrics had gotten raunchier and he had no problem baring his upper body to his ever-growing fan base.
