Looks like Donell Jones is the first winner in TheDrop.fm's R&B Sound Off, where we take two new songs and let you decide which one advances to the next round to ultimately land in our Hall of Fame. Lyrics, production and artistry are all factors in the artist's victory.

Jones' 'Forever,' which is the first single to come from his forthcoming album of the same name, competed against Chrisette Michele's 'A Couple of Forevers,' off her new LP, 'Better.' Fans voted, giving Jones 85.59 percent of their votes while Michele earned 14.41 percent.

Congratulations, Donell Jones!

Now Jones' Forever' will go head-to-head against Motown Records singer B. Smyth's 'Leggo' featuring 2 Chainz. Smyth's tune is an upbeat jam detailing his affection for a girl whose caught his eye. "I know I look exactly like your type / And I can leave with any girl here tonight / But I don't really see nobody else but you, but you girl," he croons.

Will Donell Jones climb to the top? Or will B. Smyth dominate this Sound Off? Vote for your favorite track in the poll below. Remember you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Tues., Feb. 19, at 10 a.m. ET.

Rules of R&B Sound Off

Two R&B artists sound off against each other each week. The triumphant artist goes on to compete in the next R&B Sound Off. If an artist wins four straight R&B Sound Offs, the song will be honored as immortal in TheDrop.fm R&B Sound Off Hall of Fame.
