Rich Homie Quan Taps Jeezy, Meek Mill for ‘Type of Way (Remix)’
Rich Homie Quan's 'Type of Way' was the sleeper hit of the summer and now he returns with the official remix. The Atlanta rhymer grabbed fellow ATL rhymer Jeezy and Philly spitfire Meek Mill.
Over the bass-heavy track, the rap trifecta spits rhymes about haters who are jealous of their grind and shine.
"They like, Jeezy why they hating? They feel some type of way," explains Jeezy. "When you the s---, gonna be some flies, I just might need the spray /
They wanna kill me in my sleep just like I'm Mike okay / They didn't learn that night you best believe they learned today."
Quan follows with rhymes about people hating on his come up behind his summer hit.
"I know you feel some type of way 'bout my come up / I told her in a nice-y way, I ain't want her number / My n---- Drake said some 'Type of Way' the hit of the summer," he raps.
Finally, Mill takes it to the streets and details how lives are lost after someone feels a type of way.
"So my n----s, my n----s don't rock like that / To my young n---- Snupe got popped like that / Dropped like that, got guap like that / N---- throw a shot here, get shot right back, like Pow!" he spits.
Rich Homie Quan is currently working on his debut album for Def Jam. So far, R&B songbird Monica and producer Dallas Austin are working with the rising rap star.
“I’ve been working with [Dallas Austin], and I got songs with Monica that are gonna go on my album," said Quan. “I thank God that he is gonna be working with me like that and is a big brother like that. [He's] giving me a whole lot of knowledge."
