Meek Mill Takes Aim at Cassidy in Latest Track ‘Kendrick You Next’
As tired as the beef between Meek Mill and Philadelphia rapper Cassidy is, it's still refreshing to hear a diss track that isn't aimed at Kendrick Lamar and his verse on Big Sean's 'Control.' With that said, it's a cruel irony that the Maybach Music Group signee's rhymes are on a song entitled 'Kendrick You Next.'
The latest diss track in this mainstream-underground rivalry has Meek Mill doing the same multi-beat approach Cassidy did in this year's 'RAID.' Meek raps over 'Who Shot Ya?,' 'Ether' and 'Wanksta' in succession.
Meek smugly flips lines like, "Cassidy, boy you’re so trash to me / Do the math I dissed you, that’s subtracting me / You ain’t poppin' / What the f--- could you add to me?" while substituting anger for a reaffirmation of confidence. Sadly, it doesn't look like the fans are going to get what they want through this single: An actual face-to-face battle between the two.
'Dreamchasers 3' drops on Sept. 29.
