Mary J. Blige is ushering in the holiday season a little early with her just-released single, 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.' The cover song will appear on her holiday album, 'A Mary Christmas.'

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul stays faithful to the 1944 Judy Garland standard but adds her soulful spin to it. Blige's vocals are soothing behind the subtle production of keyboards and bass before violins and trumpet blasts come in midway through the song.

"Through the years we all will be together / If the fates allow / Hanging a shining star upon the highest bough / And have yourself a merry little Christmas now," she sings.

MJB's ditty should fill your hearts with yuletide glee, if not, then you are a major Scrooge.

'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas' can be found on Blige's first-ever holiday album, 'A Mary Christmas,' which arrives in stores Oct. 15.

The 12-song collection boasts several Christmas cover songs, including 'This Christmas.' There's also duets with Jessie J, Barbara Streisand, Marc Anthony and the Clark Sisters.

Let Mary J. Blige warm your soul with her holiday tune.
