Singer Mack Wilds a.k.a. Tristan Wilds, an already established actor who has taken his talents to R&B, held a listening session for his debut album, 'New York: A Love Story,' at a pop up gallery that he transformed into "Mack's House" Monday night (Aug. 26).

Framed photographs lined the walls of the venue, featuring Wilds around the streets of New York City. There was also a section furnished with a king-sized bed, a chandelier made of sneakers and a king and queen's throne. With Chinese takeout as food offerings for the evening, the full atmosphere was an ode to authentic Big Apple-living and a peek into Wilds' imagination.

At the event, the Staten Island native revealed the full tracklist of his forthcoming album, to be released on ReMiFa Music/Louder Than Life Records, and played the full opus for guests. The project brings a nostalgic feel, with songs featuring hip-hop soul and sounds from the heart of New York's boom bap era. Wilds also crafts this sound with the help of veteran New York producers HaVoc and Pete Rock, to name a few.

On the opening track, 'Land of the Wild Things' the singer welcomes fellow Staten Island native Method Man. The pulsating record sets the course for the album's sound. On 'Remember the Time,' Wilds revisits Michael Jackson's upbeat, classic 1992 record of the same name.
