One of LL Cool J's collaborative songs with Eddie Van Halen recently popped up online. The rap-rock song 'We're the Greatest' is the final track on the veteran rhyme-slinger's upcoming 14th album, 'Authentic.'

While it's only a 90-second snippet (spotted by Ultimate Classic Rock), it gives you an idea of how LL mashed his boastful rhymes with Eddie's whining electric guitar riffs. “I got Van Halen, I don’t need a bass line / I knew we could do it was only a matter of time," he raps about his legendary collaborator.

LL went on Twitter to express his gratitude to Eddie for working with him on the song. "The @eddievanhalen solo on We're the Greatest is a masterpiece!!! My favorite part of the song. 4/30," he tweeted.

The 'Authentic' LP boasts a star-studded list of collaborators including Snoop Dogg, Seal, Monica, Earth, Wind & Fire, Chuck D and many others.

"I respect all the fans of the Great artists on Authentic. Your favorite artist took a bold step with me in the name of music. Much love," tweeted LL about the album. "I appreciate the Greats. The Classics. The Artists. The MUSIC."

'Authentic' is due to hit stores on April 30.
