Azealia Banks Storms Off Stage at Listen Out Festival After Fan Throws Beer Can
As history has shown us, when you mess with Azealia Banks, she usually bites back. But when she almost got decked with a flying object over the weekend, she just walked off the stage.
After only 90 seconds into her performance of 'ATM Jam,' a fan flung a beer can at the rapper, the beverage nearly hitting Banks. As the crowd breaks into a series of "ohs" and screams, she stops mid-lyric, turns around and walks offstage. She never returns, but her camp did release a statement regarding the incident.
"The incident made Azealia and her stage crew feel unsafe," a rep for the artist said in a statement.
Luckily, Brisbane went smoothly. "K. Brisbane went smoothly. No one threw any cans at my head. I'm gonna read my Cat encyclopedia, have a wine and go to sleep," she tweeted.
Apparently, this wasn't the first time something like this happened. According to Billboard, Banks was hit with a drink about 15 minutes into her set. And the drama doesn't stop in Australia for the Harlem-bred artist. She only played a 25-minute set at Splendour in the Grass earlier this year and also started a Twitter war with the Stone Roses who she claimed were soundchecking over her performance.
