Dr. Dre brought Eminem into the game and Em did the same for 50 Cent. The Jamaica, Queens native quickly rose to fame with his rags-to-riches debut, 'Get Rich or Die Tryin.'

His single, 'In Da Club,' was easily the most addictive song of 2003, and charted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The album also boasted other braggadocios anthems including 'P.I.M.P.' and the thug love tale '21 Questions' featuring the late Nate Dogg.

Fifty was the epitome of commercial rap at the time, but his climb to the top through previous mixtape releases allowed him to maintain his street credibility.
