Rich Homie Quan is on a mission. After his ubiquitous street anthem 'Type of Way' was recently crowned "song of the summer" by Drake, himself, the Atlanta rapper now wants the Young Money superstar on the remix.

You see, Drizzy was supposed to be on the original version, but was too busy to contribute his vocals on the song. "I was supposed to do ‘Type of Way,'" he said. "That record is like the song of the summer, I regret not getting on it. I wish I would’ve wrote it.”

Despite not appearing on the original track, Quan says it's not too late for the OVO leader to jump on the remix.

"We still haven't released the official remix, so it's not too late for Drake," he told MTV News. "I'm gonna reach out to him and try to make this happen. I was just really surprised he even noticed the song and I'm just glad it's [to his liking]."

Quan cites Drake as a major influence on his career and is deeply humbled by the rapper-singer's seal of approval. Currently, the 23-year-old rhymer is working on an all-star remix for 'Type of Way' and knows that Drake needs to be part of the project.

"We've been trying to keep [the features] a secret because when it hits it's gonna hit hard," he attests. "It's partially done but I'm gonna reach out to Drake and see if we can make some magic, [because] I've always been a fan of his."

Let's hope Rich Homie Quan gets his wish and we hear Drizzy spit some crazy bars over this summer's certified banger. Good luck!
