Drake has spoken. The Toronto rapper has dubbed Rich Homie Quan's 'Type of Way' as the song of the summer.

In an interview with MTV, the Toronto native said he wanted to jump on the track, but chose another effort from a southern group to throw a verse on. Drizzy explained that he was interested in working with both Quan and Migos, but only the latter's 'Versace' got recorded.

“I was sitting with DJ Drama and a bunch of people in the studio just debating about Atlanta records. Shout out to Rich Homie Quan too, it was like a toss-up between which one. He’s killing it on his own. I was supposed to do 'Type of Way.' I probably should've done them both but I just been trying to finish this album," said Drake.

"That record is like the song of the summer, I regret not getting on it," he admitted. "I wish I would've wrote it."

Quan is a 23-year-old out of Atlanta whose recent mixtape, 'Still Goin In Reloaded,' has brought him more recognition in light of the release of 'Type of Way.'

Migos, a trio also from Atlanta, have dropped tracks like 'Bando' and the Drake-assisted 'Versace,' which has propelled them into the spotlight.

Both artists appear on TheDrop.fm's 10 More Rappers & Singers to Watch in 2013.
