Since his upcoming album, ‘Hall of Fame,’ already had a locked tracklist, Big Sean decided to gift the internet with a new track, ‘Control.’

Featuring Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica, the track quickly caught fire throughout the interwebs after Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex dropped the effort last night (Aug. 12). The seven-and-a-half minute song doesn’t just focus on Big Sean’s spitting skills but that of Kendrick and Jay as well.

“This one that didn’t make the album cuz of the sample BUT IT IS NOT no radio s—… Straight rap… I’m talking 7min s—… Grimey s—,” Sean tweeted last night. “N it might have Kendrick n Jay Electronics on it too… 3 different type vibes on it!”

Not only are fans and the media hyping up ‘Control,’ but other artists in the hip-hop community are also fueling the energy around the song, especially regarding Kendrick’s verse.

“I’m usually homeboys with the same n—-s I’m rhymin’ with / But this is hip-hop and them n—-s should know what time it is / And that goes for Jermaine Cole, Big K.R.I.T, Wale, Pusha T, Meek Mill, A$AP Rocky, Drake, Big Sean, Jay Electron, Tyler, Mac Miller / I got love for you all, but I’m tryna murder you n—-s / Tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you n—-s/ They don’t wanna hear not one more noun or verb from you n—-s,” Kendrick raps.

His fighting words: he calls out a number of rappers including the ones he did the track with, dubs himself the best MC and King of New York. This sparked tons of responses via social networks with fans and rappers agreeing, disagreeing or debating the Compton emcee’s lyrics.
