Top 10 Alicia Keys Wifey and Mommy Moments [Photos]
Alicia Keys may be one of the biggest R&B stars of the century. However, no matter how popular she is, the 'Girl on Fire' singer is not only a loving wife to her producer husband Swizz Beatz, but is also a devoted mother to her two-year-old son, Egypt. Regardless of her endless red carpet appearances and hectic world tour she's currently on, the 32-year-old songstress still manages to keep her family together and spend any free time she has with them. Here's a look at some of the moments this A-list family has had over the years. Check out the Top 10 Alicia Keys Wifey and Mommy Moments.
1. Baby Bump Glory
It may have been a couple of weeks before Egypt was born, but Keys was set to make an appearance at the annual Black Ball for her non-profit, Keep A Child Alive, in 2010. Not only does she have that mother-to-be glow about her, but hubby Swizz looks just as dapper and sweet while caressing her baby bump on the red carpet.
2. A Directoral Debut
Keys and Swizz look sharp at the 'Five' premiere in 2011. The night was a special one for the 'Brand New Me' artist because it marked her directorial debut. She and actresses Jennifer Aniston and Demi Moore co-directed the Lifetime movie, which delves into five stories about mental illness.
3. Cool & Comfy Couple
They don't always need to look red carpet-ready. On their days off, the couple like to get comfy (yet stylish) like they did on this trip to Target. Maybe they needed to get diapers for Egypt or snacks for their next movie night.
4. Multitasking at Its Best
Like her video for 'Girl on Fire,' Keys shows that she is a pro at handling the many roles in her life. Even though she had a press junket to go to in London (as pictured below), she made sure to keep her baby by her side -- here he was only a few weeks shy of turning 2 years old.
5. Getting Their Game On
As lifelong New Yorkers, the couple are big fans of the New York Knicks and intend on raising their son in the same way. So it's no surprise that you'll probably see the family at a home game at New York City's Madison Square Garden like in this photo. "Taking EG to see his favorite sport!! He's totally obsessed!;-) tell u more later...." Keys once wrote on Instagram.
6. Midnight Anniversary
There is nothing cuter than watching one of hip-hop and R&B's top couples show off their love. And Keys was more than willing to share a bit of her and Swizz's anniversary night with the photo below. "At midnight we brought in our anniversary under the lights that inspired us both!... #justliketeenagelove #dreams4life #purelove ;-)!!!," she wrote in the caption.
7. Teaching Him Early
Before Keys and Nicki Minaj performed at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, she wanted to share the moment with Egypt and show him the epic stage. Nothing wrong in teaching him about this early.
8. Standing By Her Man
Although the songstress has been busy with the release of her latest album and her sold-out world tour, it doesn't mean she isn't there for her man when it's his time to shine. So when Haute Living and Louis XIII honored Swizz for his endless charitable efforts and achievements, she was proudly there by his side.
9. Egypt's First Inauguration
Keys has been open about her political leanings especially during the 2012 Presidential Election. So when Barack Obama was inaugurated on Jan. 21, she rounded up the family (and made sure everyone was bundled up) to experience the historic moment in Washington, D.C.
10. Ready for the Ball
Later that evening, Keys and Swizz got dressed up to attend the Inauguration Ball where she performed a medley of her hits.
Alicia Keys is currently performing on her Set the World On Fire tour and wants to get to know her fans in every city. During her worldwide trek, the songstress is asking fans to send in photos of themselves in their cities, and with those photos, she will create a new music video for her song ‘Hallelujah’ in every city on her tour. To submit your photos to the ‘Your City, Your Video’ project, go here. The next deadline for photo submissions for the tour dates in Torino, Italy; Monaco, Marseilles and Paris is Mon., June 10. The submission period for dates prior to that has closed.
