Hip-hop icons Run-DMC and DJ A-Trak have teamed up for a commercial with Adidas Originals. The clip brings two distinct generations of music together for an interactive campaign called 'Unite All Originals.'

Details are scarce on the project, but what we do know is that the trio will present an interactive music video where fans can control the imagery, sound and visual effects. Sound familiar?

The clip will premiere via the Internet on Aug. 1.

In the behind-the-scenes video above, Run, DMC and A-Trak discuss their collaborative effort in the Adidas campaign.

For those of you who don't know, Run-DMC's relationship with Adidas goes way back to 1986 when their song, 'My Adidas,' became a sneaker anthem for kids in the 'hood.

The trio (R.I.P. Jam Master Jay) would eventually make history by being the first rap group to sign with a major sneaker brand. Their $1 million pact with Adidas included their own branded line of kicks and gear.

It's good to see veteran rhyme-slingers team up with today's generation of musicians to unite fans with music and technology.

Raise your Adidas sneakers high in the sky!
