Pusha T is already calling his upcoming 'My Name Is My Name' the album of the year despite some steep competition. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper seems to have an ace up his sleeve though. And no, it's not his rhyming ability, experience or potential guest features. It's Joaquin Phoenix.

That's right. Actor Joaquin Phoenix is involved with 'My Name Is My Name.' Pusha T told VIBE that Kanye West offered him a few more beats for his solo effort, and one of them came from none other than Phoenix.

The Clipse member is even aiming to make that beat the intro on the album. Pusha says the main reason behind the delay of the LP is due to the new production.

"There's no production in the world that's better than this album right now. Let's be real, 'My Name Is My Name' is the best produced album," he shares. Well, we'll see if the delay was worth it and if Phoenix is a slept-on producer.

This isn't Phoenix's first run-in with hip-hop. The 2010 mockumentary 'I'm Still Here' follows the entertainer from his retirement as an actor to his transition as a hip-hop artist.
