After premiering 'Survival' in a 'Call of Duty: Ghosts' trailer, Eminem dropped the full single to hear minus the simulated gunshots and explosions. The track features Liz Rodrigues of The New Royales on the hook

'Survival' sounds like something that would fit in well with 'Recovery,' Eminem's last LP. It features the same type of galvanizing hook heard on songs like 'Cinderella Man' and 'Won't Back Down' with P!nk. The latter was also featured in a 'Call of Duty'-related advertisement.

Eminem talks on how he wasn't expecting this kind of success and his dedication to rhyming, which is partially inspired by how he feels there's nothing else he's really that good at. "But my respect is overdue, I'm showing you the flow no one do / Cause I don't own no diploma for school, I quit / So there's nothing for me to fall back on, I know no other trades," he raps.

A lot more material is expected from Shady because his eighth album is set to arrive later this year.
