DJ Khaled Proposes to Nicki Minaj Via Video

DJ Khaled's last album was called 'Kiss the Ring,' but now he wants to present a diamond ring to Nicki Minaj. The Miami producer used MTV News as the platform to ask the Queen Barb for her hand in marriage.

“I love you, I like you. I want you, I want you to be mine,” said Khaled. “I’ma be honest with you, I wanna marry you.”

"We got the same symptoms, we're both suffering from success," he adds. "You out there touring, you out there hustlin', you out there making music, you out there winning. I understand. That's why I feel like you need a man in your life that's going to take care of you and respect you."

After a lengthy diatribe of why he thinks he's ready to marry Minaj, the We the Best CEO presented a beautiful 10 karat radiant cut diamond ring valued at $500,000.

The ring looks gorgeous and Khaled seems honest about his intentions.

However, there is one big problem. Nicki Minaj is boo'd up.

Although the 'High School' rapper doesn't talk much about her relationship, it's no secret that she and rapper Safaree "Scaff Beezy" Samuels are a couple. Just take a look at her Instagram page.

So far, there has been no response from Minaj or Samuels.

However, DJ Khaled's marriage proposal has given fans the license to slander the 'Take it to the Head' artist on Twitter.

So in the end, this is a great marketing ploy to get the buzz going for DJ Khaled's upcoming album, 'Suffering From Success,' which arrives in stores Sept. 24.
