The year is coming to a close and you should celebrate the right way: with a satisfying soundtrack. To do that, it's time to make a very hard decision and choose the Best R&B Song of 2012. TheDrop.fm provides you with the nominees and you decide on which track -- by a soulful singer or crooning gentleman -- dominated.

Toronto's very own the Weeknd debuted 'Wicked Games,' an eerie track where he belts out lyrics of enticing a lady to come into his dark world. One thing about this crooner: his songs are sure to have quotables. Then there's Usher, whose 'Climax' saturated radios and dancefloors and became a fan favorite -- not to mention the song, with its slow build (how fitting) and strong lyrics made it a chart-topper for much of 2012.

Elle Varner's 'Refill,' which earned a 2013 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song, prompted listeners to request more of the song and identify with the lyrics she sang. After all, who hasn't experienced that yearning sensation of wanting to be closer to the person who's caught your eye. Comeback queen Brandy relied on pop prince Chris Brown for 'Put It Down,' an ode that was both sensual and sweet. The track, featured on her 'Two Eleven' album, solidified the songstress' return -- a welcomed one at that.

'Heart Attack,' Trey Songz's gut-wrenching track about heartbreak, had many a fan (yes, you too) belting out the chorus. Bad breakups are a fact of life and the Virginia native proved he could create a song that detailed the story without sounding stale. Plus the tune earned a 2013 Grammy Award for Best R&B Song. Another ever-present R&B tune is Chris Brown's 'Turn Up the Music,' which sits on his 2013 Grammy-nominated album, 'Fortune.' Yes, Breezy went the EDM route with this one but its success was undeniable. And even if your footwork isn't as fancy as CB's, the beat caused you to attempt to bust a move.

Rihanna's 'Diamonds' may have debuted in September, but the song celebrating a promising relationship, quickly became the anthem for her Navy and even those who hate to love the 24-year-old tabloid-friendly pop star. The Sia-penned effort earned RiRi her 12th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. A track released a month before, Miguel's 'Adorn' was one of those songs that your friends put you onto, or you were the one telling them how you couldn't stop playing it. With its lyrics celebrating love and rhythmic, head-nodding beat, the effort earned him 2013 Grammy nods for Song of the Year, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Performance.

'Thinking 'Bout You,' Frank Ocean's self-penned ode about a relationship he can't quite get a grasp one, also earned him some 2013 Grammy love -- Record of the Year. The song, off his critically-acclaimed debut 'Channel Orange,' had many questioning the what ifs of love. And lastly, Ne-Yo's 'Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself),' off his 'R.E.D.' LP, is a catchy track that finds the crooner doing what he does best: singing of love in a way that resonates with everyone. He crafted a dancefloor-friendly, EDM-like hit, all while delivering a meaningful message without saying much at all.
