When asked about his status as hip-hop's current infallible "hook man" in November 2012, Future told Billboard that he's more than a master of hooks. "I'm the master of music, period." he scoffed. "I feel like nobody in music can do what I do. The only people who can do what I do are from my camp and that's [Andre] 3000 and CeeLo."

Humility may not be Future's strong suit, but no one can argue that the Freebandz founder came out of nowhere just two years ago on YC's 'Racks' and hasn't stopped tacking hits onto his discography yet. He may not always have an actual verse but his hooks essentially anchor more than half the club bangers currently out and his star is still rising.
