Being one-third of Destiny's Child, Kelly Rowland already carries a certain amount of power. However, she's just as influential as a solo artist. A vocal powerhouse herself, she has released four albums on her own -- 'Simply Deep' (2002), 'Ms. Kelly (2007), 'Here I am' (2011) and 'Talk a Good Game,' which arrived in June.

While Rowland's solo work didn't do too bad on the charts, it was her collaborations that pushed her to the top. She teamed up with Nelly in 2002, and worked on 'Dilemma,' which was the second single off his album, 'Nellyville.' The single not only became successful in various countries but also helped established Rowland as a solo artist. The song won the two a Grammy in 2003 for Best Sung/Rap Collaboration.

In 2009, she saw her next international hit with 'When Love Takes Over,' her song with French DJ David Guetta. That song also won the duo a Grammy in 2010 for Best Dance Recording.

Aside from music, Rowland has made a name for herself as an actress. Playing small roles in films like 'Freddy vs. Jason' and 'Think Like a Man' as well as TV shows including 'Girlfriends,' 'Eve' and 'Single Ladies,' she is more notable for being a judge and mentor for the U.K.'s 'The X Factor' in 2011.
