As expected, Kanye West performed two new songs on 'Saturday Night Live' over the weekend. The rapper-producer performed a previously unreleased track, 'Black Skinhead,' and 'New Slaves.'

Both songs are expected to appear on his new album, 'Yeezus.' The new collection is due to hit stores on June 18. West's girlfriend, Kim Kardashian confirmed the date on her Instagram with a photo of the new all-red Air Yeezy II sneakers and, presumedly, the cover art of the album.

But back to West's 'SNL' performance.

For his first set, the 'Watch the Throne' rapper, backed by a live band, performed 'Black Skinhead,' a charging stream-of-consciousness song.

Dressed in a studded black leather jacket and Air Yeezy sneakers, he yelled out his frustrations with corporate America and celebrity (read lyrics here and here).

"They say I'm possessed / It's an Omen / I keep it 300 / Like the Romans / 300 bitches / Where's the Trojans?" he raps.

During his performance, images of ghoulish faces flashed on the screen behind him. At the end of the song, a "Not For Sale" sign flashed across the screen.

For his second set, West returned to perform the spoken-word rant 'New Slaves.' This time the G.O.O.D. Music rapper appeared wearing only a very deep V-neck shirt and gold Cuban link chain.

Unlike his previous set, West stood stoically in the middle of the stage and recited the song's lyrics. Interestingly, Yeezy was kind of enough to edit himself for 'SNL' sensors as he mumbled the N-word and other expletives. It also made it look like he was having some sort of spasm on the mic.

"I throw these Maybach keys / I wear my heart on my sleeve / I know that we the new slaves / I see the blood on the leaves," he raps.

Overall, Kanye West was on his punk-rock s--- with his 'SNL' performance. As always, the mercurial artist is bringing something different to the game. Get prepared for the summer of Yeezus.
