New York native Ghostface Killah left a major impact on his hometown fans last night (May 13) at Gramercy Theatre with the very talented band Venice Dawn.

Despite Ghostface Killah hitting the stage 45 minutes later than he was scheduled to, and a few fans leaving early, those who stayed definitely got a treat during the New York stop of the Twelve Reasons to Die tour.

The incredible Venice Dawn shook the foundation of Gramercy Theatre with their deep bass lines, blistering guitar riffs and manic drum patterns. The frontman of Venice Dawn has a voice with endless range which soared throughout the venue and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Younge kept the crowd pumped. Young and Ghost released their collaborative LP, 'Twelve Reasons to Die,' last month on April 16.

Ghost took the mic and showed why he’s had such a successful and long career and continues to do so. His hasty flow and delivery as well his onstage presence is contagious as he also invited one lucky fan to sing Ol Dirty Bastard’s part for the track ‘Back in the Air.‘ Fans also sang to favorites such as ‘Ice Cream’ as well as ‘Enemies All Around Me,’ which featured the legendary William Hart of the Delfonics, who graced the stage.

Supporting act DJ Gaslamp Killer was definitely a surprise as his energy and humor was undeniable. Gaslamp Killer was a mad scientist behind the turntables. The sounds and beats he put together were unlike anything hip-hop heads might have heard before, which definitely added a unique touch to the night.
