Rapper Ghostface Killah and producer Adrian Younge announce the Twelve Reasons to Die national tour.

The 49-city jaunt kicks off on March 14 at SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas, and will end May 22, coming full circle in Austin.

This tour will support the duo's forthcoming collaborative concept album, 'Twelve Reasons to Die.' The LP will be available April 16 through RZA's Soul Temple Records, distributed by RED Music.

The concept for the album, executive produced by RZA, was conceived and created by Younge. The music follows Tony Starks (one of Ghostface’s alter egos) as a soldier for the 12 Delucas, a 1960’s-era Italian crime family. As the storyline of the album unfolds, Starks experiences the paths of good and evil.

“I wanted this album to be the album that went back and started things all over,” Younge says. “I wanted to be the first person to really bring this to hip-hop. I want to bring that organic element back to hip-hop. I’m fortunate enough that I was chosen to be that person to do it.”

'Twelve Reasons to Die' was recorded on 2-inch tape and incorporates live strings, horns and drums. In addition to the LP, there will be a six issue comic-book series featuring the character with contributions from a wide range of talented artists.

“I want this album to change what people think about hip-hop,” Younge states.
