Last summer, Corporate Thug CEO Young Jeezy exchanged hoodies and kicks for tailored suits and hard bottom shoes, after being named Senior Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records. He brought his CTE World imprint along with him, signing a joint venture with the label.

With more and more artists becoming executives, its evident that no one knows the music business better than the singers, rappers and producers who’ve grinded through the ranks. Heading a label department and creating hit songs are two complete different things though and everyone doesn’t perform the same once settling into the corner office.
