"You tried me. You clap and I clapped back," singer Teyana Taylor says in an interview with Hot 97's Ebro and Peter Rosenberg Wednesday morning, in reference to her Twitter beef with Rihanna, which went on for hours Tuesday (Sept. 24).

The verbal war started when Rihanna posted an Instagram video of a man, wearing a baseball cap and long curly wig, singing 'Caught Up in the Rapture,' which was similar to a video Teyana posted not too long ago of her singing the same song. "Someone sent me the video and I just thought it was really harsh," the G.O.O.D. Music signee shares.

That's when the back and forth began, and it involved a subliminal tweet from bad girl Rih about how much money Teyana makes --- "I hate broke bitches," she wrote. Teyana then threw a direct Twitter punch by calling Rihanna "industry p----."

Teyana says she doesn't know why the Bajan superstar came at her, as she's been in the studio working on her forthcoming album, "minding my business." She says she knows Rihanna "very well," and that her actions were no coincidence. "I just think her fans are loud and they condone her behavior and she does this to everybody," the 'Bliss' chanteuse states.

"I do think she's a cyber bully," she later adds. "I think she has dope music. You know, I'm not no hater. Dope music is dope music. She's a pretty girl. But that don't mean that you can just bully anybody. It don't work like that."

Rihanna claims that Teyana's net worth was $500,000 during the beef, which the Harlem-bred singer said is false. "I work hard. You know I have talent, my s--- is gon' pop regardless. So this wasn't no publicity stunt. This wasn't no tryna get free publicity. It wasn't none of that."

Publicity stunt or not, Rihanna has definitely given Teyana some media attention that she can now use to her advantage.
