Joey Bada$$ Dismisses Roc Nation Signing Rumors, Names Price for Major Label Deal

Joey Bada$$, one of the hottest young rappers out, had people talking with his verse on A$AP Rocky's '1Train,' on which he spits that he might be signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation. However, the newcomer is dismissing those rumors.

In an interview with The Source, Joey says that he is not signed to Roc Nation. Furthermore, if a major label wants the '1991' rapper, they better pony up the dough. "Won't sign to no major, for no wager, less than a 3 million offer of the top, I be in a box when my coffin drops, why settle for an office spot? That type of thing, you know," Joey says.

He also shares that he's ultimately "tryna go more independent." Joey and his Pro Era crew recently dropped the 'PEEP: The Aprocalypse' mixtape and prior to that, the critically-acclaimed '1999.' Fans will just have to wait and see what's next for the Brooklyn, N.Y., native.
