Jennifer Lopez’s Style Evolution [PHOTOS]
With her film, TV (as an 'American Idol' judge and dancer on 'In Living Color') and music career, Jennifer Lopez is clearly a triple threat. However, it's not only her talent that made her famous but it was also her timeless beauty, her near-to-perfect body and her keen fashion sense.
So in honor of her 44th birthday (yes, she's well into that age group), TheDrop.fm highlights her best (and not-so-great) looks that go back as far as her Fly Girl days to her current red carpet ensembles. Here's Jennifer Lopez's Style Evolution.
One of the first times we saw Jennifer Lopez in the limelight was on the '90s variety show 'In Living Color.' She showed off her dance moves as a Fly Girl. But taking on that role also meant showing off a certain style. And it's pretty obvious from the image below, she was really embracing that dated look.
The list wouldn't be complete without this infamous outfit. Wearing the Versace number with complete confidence at the 2000 Grammy Awards, the dress still has the same effect on people today as it did back then.
Although she's rocking a simple crop top and white jeans, the 'On the 6' creator still looks hot at her 'Today' show performance in 2001.
The MTV Video Music Awards are a free-for-all when it comes to fashion, and J.Lo ran away with that idea in 2001. While her outfit is cute --she's wearing a sexy animal-inspired Cavalli top -- it seems a bit too casual for the red carpet.
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards are a casual event, but the songstress looked like a bit of a mess in this outfit in 2004. The sparkly top and crocheted hat certainly don't mesh well together. Sometimes too much is really too much.
Although she was well into her pregnancy at this point, that didn't stop Lopez from attending the Marchesa show at the 2008 Mercedes Benz Fall Fashion Week in New York City. She rocked a simple blue dress and black heels to boot. Pregnancy never looked this good.
It looks like Lopez is reverting back to her "Jenny From the Block" days with this outfit. Her sweatpants and top dazzled for her performance on 'American Idol' in 2012.
Although the theme for the night was punk at the 2013 Met Ball, Lopez's form-fitting animal print floor length gown still stole the show, proving she can be rough around the edges.
Channeling classic actresses of the past like Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe, J.Lo went for Old Hollywood when she was presented with her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this year.
The starlet looked flawless on the red carpet with this metallic number, which shows off just enough cleavage and a peak of leg, at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards.
