Most of the awards for R&B were announced before the 55th Annual Grammy Awards began Sunday night, but there were some trophies saved to build excitement during the actual live segment of the show.

Frank Ocean took the honor for Best Urban Contemporary Album, which was presented by Kelly Rowland and Nas.

"I hear that the way you disarm an audience is to look at them as if they were naked, but I wanna look at you all as kids in tuxedos and stuff like that," Frank Ocean said as he accepted his speech. He then went on to thank his fans, mother and record label, Def Jam.

The Odd Future affiliare was up against steep competition including Miguel for 'Kaleidoscopic Dream' and Chris Brown's 'Fortune' -- the latter looked visibly surprised when Ocean's name was announce as the winner.

"I had the honor and privilege working with all three of these young men nominated in this category," Nas revealed before Ocean stepped to the stage.

The Best Urban Contemporary Album is a new category introduced by the Grammys this year.
