Frank Ocean is being recognized by GLAAD (The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) with a nomination for Outstanding Music Artist for 'Channel Orange' in this year's GLAAD Media Awards.

Other nominees in the category are Adam Lambert, Gossip, Rufus Wainwright and Scissor Sisters. According to GLAAD, "The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives."

Last July, Frank penned a letter addressing his sexuality. The Odd Future associate revealed he once had feelings for a man. "He wouldn't tell me the truth about his feelings for me for another 3 years," Ocean wrote before adding, "I couldn't imagine keeping up my life without him."

'Channel Orange' was released days later to both commercial and critical acclaim. The album is up for four Grammys this year, including Album of the Year.
