Alicia Keys has managed to maintain her spot as the R&B musician composing piano-focused soul. And her style has been a favorite amongst music listeners, which is evident in her consistent chart-topping projects. Since her debut LP, 'Songs in A Minor' in 2001, she has continuously nabbed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard R&B charts. With the exception of the 'The Element of Freedom,' Alicia's albums have also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart as well.

In the same spirit of her previous four projects, her latest release, 'Girl on Fire,' doesn't have any heavy features, but when they do appear, the collabos are well-thought out and include worthy co-stars -- fellow native New Yorkers Nicki Minaj on the title track 'Girl on Fire' and Maxwell on 'Fire We Make.' This LP was a great addition to a string of successful R&B albums released this year.
