Beyonce and Andre 3000 Deliver a Futuristic Take on Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black’
Check out Beyonce and Andre 3000’s cover of Amy Winehouse’s ‘Back to Black,' featured on ‘The Great Gatsby’ soundtrack.
Beyonce and Andre 3000 team up for a new take on Winehouse’s memorable hit. The track opens up with Three Stacks spitting a slow tempo rap of Winehouse’s famous lyrics, set over a spacey western beat. It’s followed by Beyoncé's seductive vocals, bringing some of the same raw emotions the late singer featured on the original.
The duo here bring two different feels in one song, yet it’s a beautiful, new take on Winehouse’s most memorable track.
‘Back to Black’ will be featured on the upcoming contemporary movie remake of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel, ‘The Great Gatsby.’ Bey’s husband, Jay-Z is the executive producer of the soundtrack and will also have a new track on the album. The album will release on May 7 and will also feature Q-Tip, Fergie, Emeli Sande and many more.
