When M.I.A. initially took Rye Rye under her wing, the Baltimore rapper was only in high school. However, soon after that meeting, the younger rapper with the colored hair was soon opening up for the 'Bird Flu' artist on her 2007 Kala tour.

She then became the first artist to sign with M.I.A.'s N.E.E.T. label and also made an appearance in her 'Paper Planes' video. Once Rye Rye started her career, she was soon opening for various artists in a variety of genres including the Gossip, Katy Perry and LMFAO. She teamed up with Robyn on 'Never Will Be Mine,' which made it to No. 12 on the Billboard dance charts. Rye Rye released 'Go! Pop! Bang' in May 2012, which did well on the Dance and Rap charts.

Rye Rye recently announced she had new material with the release of 'After Party' in March.
