Winning four Soul Train Awards, six American Music Awards and more MTV Video Music Awards than any female group in history with seven moon men, En Vogue is considered one of the most popular girl groups of all time. Dawn Robinson makes our list not only because she was a member of this elite group, but also because after leaving she’s managed to continue on with a music career. After eight years with En Vogue, she joined Lucy Pearl, a group that released ‘Dance Tonight’ and ‘Don’t Mess With My Man’ in 2000, which became big chart toppers.

After Robinson parted with that group, she released ‘Dawn’ in 2002 and returned to En Vogue for short stints with the group. In 2012, Robinson and fellow En Vogue member Maxine Jones announced their new project, 'Heirs to the Throne.' And in February 2013, she was selected to join the cast of ’R&B Divas: LA,’ with Chante Moore, Kelly Price, Lil' Mo, Claudette Ortiz and Michel’le Toussaint.
