Choppa Young City in Las Vegas Jail, Will be Extradited to New Orleans

Not many people may remember the entire cast from MTV's 'Making the Band' back in the early 2000s, but those who do will recall Choppa Young City -- the most boisterous of the group.

He's still pretty boisterous.

According to Nola.com, the New Orleans native has been arrested recently in Las Vegas on charges from crimes committed in September 2012.

As of now, he's waiting in Nevada to be extradited back to his hometown on warrants for extortion and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

Choppa would've continued existing under the radar in Vegas had it not been for the fight he was involved in on March 19 on the Strip. After Las Vegas police received word of the assault and arrested the rapper, they found that he'd been eluding the New Orleans police.

The New Orleans Assistant District Attorney Christopher Bowman said that it wasn't until days later when they found out that Choppa had been arrested and they had no idea about the warrant until speaking with a NOLA.com Times-Picayune reporter.

The rapper is currently being held in a Las Vegas jail on a fugitive warrant.
