Among them is Nas' 'Life Is Good,' a mature effort from the Queensbridge wordsmith featuring thought-provoking lyrics and sample-based production and Nicki Minaj redeemed herself with 'The Re-Up,' after critics felt she abandoned hip-hop with 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.'
