Tyler the Creator, ‘Slater’ – Must-Have 2013 Songs

With the release of his upcoming album, 'Wolf,' quickly approaching, Tyler the Creator has been having a field day previewing his sophomore effort.

Although there are a number of tracks to choose from, 'Slater' is just one that sticks out. (We liked it so much that we pinned it against Kid Cudi's 'Immortal' in this week's Rap Battle.)

Tyler enlists the help of Odd Future cohort Frank Ocean to supply the chorus and makes an interesting choice by getting rocker Dave Matthews to help with the guitar.

With lyrics that seem to be retrospective on his life, he raps, "Guess I win, checks started cashing in / I stopped rapping and started asking, ‘Where my f---ing passion is?’"
