Sia Teams Up with the Weeknd, Diplo for ‘Elastic Heart’

What do you get when you combine Sia, the Weeknd and Diplo? One helluva stellar track for a major motion picture. The trio created the soaring pop ballad 'Elastic Heart,' which is from the upcoming soundtrack for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.'

On the song, Sia's vocals are delicate as she yearns for finding love after enduring heartbreak and pain.

"And another one bites the dust / But why can I not conquer love? / And I might have thought that we would work / And I might've got to be with one / Why not fight this war without weapons?" she laments over Diplo's bombastic production.

The Weeknd adds his falsetto to the mix, joining Sia's requiem and crooning, "And I will stay up through the night / Let's be clear, I won't close my eyes / And I know that I can survive / I walked through fire to save my life."

'Elastic Heart' is a fantastic pop ballad and will certainly appease 'Hunger Games' fans. Not to mention, it's a good look for Abel Tesfaye, who is probably not known to listeners outside of the R&B genre.

'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' soundtrack boasts contributions from Coldplay, Santigold, Christina Aguilera, Mikky Ekko and another song from the Weeknd. The collection will arrive in stores Nov. 19.
