Rick Ross Wins 2012 TheDrop.fm Music Award for Best Hip-Hop Album
The results are in for the 2012 TheDrop.fm Music Awards. Thanks to all that took the time to vote on the nominees. The winner of the Best Hip-Hop Album goes to Rick Ross for 'God Forgives, I Don't.' In a close second was Nicki Minaj for her project, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – the Re-up.'
Rozay's fifth studio album was one of his best projects of last year. The Maybach Music Group leader's album featured production from his main go-to crew the J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Cool and Dre and Pharrell Williams, to name a few. He also had many stand-out features from Jay-Z, Andre 3000, Dr. Dre and Ne-Yo. This LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and is also nominated for Best Rap Album at the Grammy Awards this year.
Ms. 'Beez in The Trap' is on this list as first runner-up. Her LP came in on Billboard's best sellers list with 1,657,000 units sold. She also increased her clout last year by making her way into a judge's seat for the new season of 'American Idol.' There's no telling what Nicki will do next.
