The hip-hop community is in shock over the sudden death of rap upstart Lil Snupe. As rappers mourn over his untimely passing, reports have surfaced that police have a suspect in custody.

According to KNOE-TV, Lil Snupe, born Addarren Ross, was shot and killed Thursday morning (June 20) just after 4AM at an apartment complex in Winnfield, La. Police said the rapper was shot twice in the chest, but wouldn't divulge anymore information.

The 18-year-old was recently signed to Meek Mill's label Dreamchasers Records and was making plenty of noise in the rap game. His latest mixtape, 'R.N.I.C.' -- 'Rich N---- in Charge' -- garnered 50,000 downloads on DatPiff.

Sadly, Lil Snupe's last tweet was only 14 hours ago. "i Hold it Down 4 Louisiana," he wrote.

Fellow Louisiana artist Curren$y is devastated by the news of Snupe's tragic death. He openly grieved for the young rapper in a profanity-laced Twitter rant early this morning.

"Man f--- man....,, f---....... R.I.P. LiL Snupe..... F---.... F---," he wrote. "I loved this n---- soons I said what up too him..... He was finna blow..... Fake mutha f---as can't take it when u finna get out…"

"Mannnnn f---...... I ain't felt like this in a minute.... S--- too familiar and f---ed up.... Less crying more driving... I gotta go," he continued. "I just know he had the whole world in front of him.... I won't say nothing else..... F---."

We send our condolences to the Ross family. Rest in peace, Lil Snupe. You left us way too soon.
