U.K. rap star Professor Green is at the center of an investigation for an alleged hit and run.

The Sun UK reports that the 29-year-old rapper's Mercedes hit a vehicle owned by Albert Stanford, 67. Stanford claims his car, a Vauxhall Vectra, was hit by Green, who fled the scene after the accident. “It made a loud smash," Stanford states.

Neighbors apparently told Stanford that the car belonged to Green. Green claims that his car is not damaged and “the matter is being looked into.”

Professor Green released his debut LP,  'Alive Till I'm Dead,' in 2010, which features guest verses from the likes of Lily Allen and Emeli Sande.
