As everyone expected, DJ Khaled's marriage proposal to Nicki Minaj was fake, or at the very least, a publicity stunt. Queen Barbz confirmed the news with Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex Monday night (July 29).

During her radio interview, Minaj laughed hysterically when Funkmaster Flex brought up Khaled's videotaped proposal and that huge $500,000 diamond ring he presented to her.

“I was shocked just like the rest of the world and I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world 'cause Khaled is a master at what he does," she said. “Nobody in my real life took it seriously. Everybody just hit me like, ‘LOL. Yo, Khaled is crazy.’”

Minaj insisted that it's all love -- platonically -- between her and the Miami-bred producer. The Young Money superstar calls Khaled a brother and basically put him in the friend zone -- forever.

“Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, y'all Please let it go. He was kidding," Nicki shared. “He’s not attracted to me, he doesn’t like me. We’re brother and sister.”

So there you have it. We can all rest easy now. The world is not going to end.

Although, we have to say that it was a good marketing ploy on Khaled's part. We stayed talking about him for almost an entire week.

So to help him out, we'll give Khaled another plug: DJ Khaled's new album, 'Suffering From Success,' arrives in stores Sept. 24. We the best!
