Twenty-two-year-old Kilo Kish is not sure if she considers herself a rapper. But the emcee handles lyrics in chill mode as evident on her 'Homeschool' EP -- produced by Odd Future members Matt Martians and Hal Williams -- released last year. An Orlando transplant, she relocated to Brooklyn, N.Y., after receiving a partial scholarship to Pratt Institute, and eventually finished her artistic education at FIT.

She's on the independent route now, but that hasn't stopped her from speaking to some major labels about getting her music to the masses. With performances at the CMJ Music Festival and Bowery Ballroom last year and plans to unveil new music in the coming months, her movement continues to grow.
