Kelis Changes ‘Call on Me’ to ‘Jerk Ribs,’ Announces Completion of New Album

Kelis is back and she's bringing a more retro-soul sound with her new single, 'Jerk Ribs.'

Earlier this week, the songbird debuted the track, originally titled 'Call on Me.' Kelis, who brought sass to the dance floor with her 2010 'Flesh Tone' album, worked with TV on the Radio producer Dave Sitek on the Afrobeat-inspired song.

In addition to the single, Kelis went on Twitter to announce the completion of her currently untitled sixth album.

“I’m really excited, my album is done. It sounds like love and summer balled up into one!” she tweeted. “You asked when new stuff was coming, I procrastinated :) but no more. It’s here now, I’m happy. You should be too, embrace it! Wepa!”

We are very happy that Kelis is returning to the R&B game. We can't wait to hear her new album.
