Kanye West’s 2005 New Year’s Eve Party – Fantasia’s Style Evolution

Kanye West is easily one of the most stylish men in hip-hop. And although we may not agree with all of his style choices (Remember the leather kilt?), he does tend to look chic on the red carpet.

So when he invited Fantasia to perform at his 2005 New Year's Eve bash, you'd think she'd go all out on the ensemble or at least ask her stylist for advice. But we were wrong.

Although NYE parties are usually the events of the year, Fantasia went for comfort with light-washed jeans, a chain belt and a very ill-fitting black tank -- not the best choice.
